about

At 28, I invented the mechanical computer that broke the encryption of Nazi transmissions. Without me, the Second World War would have lasted four more years. Just that. Top Secret, this feat will only be revealed in the 70's. In my free time, I invented the first artificial intelligence capable of playing chess. I also created a test to differentiate a human from a machine, still valid today. Accused of homosexuality in 1952, I was given to choose between prison and chemical castration. To continue the research that kept me alive I was condemned to accept hormones that disfigured me, destroyed me, exhausted me and, no longer myself, I committed suicide at 41 while I had in mind capital inventions that humanity will never receive.

I am Alan Mathison Turing.

Pour les privilégiés, l'égalité sonne comme une oppression.
