Rome, 16th century: After classical and philosophical studies, I entered a Dominican convent where I followed the precepts to the letter - by word and example. I came out as a priest at age 25, but behind my exemplary career I actually concealed a rebellion against the theological stranglehold and fueled my freedom of thought by an eclectic and unorthodox culture: hermeticism, magic, and cosmology. I oppose, I contradict, I question the dogma of the Trinity, which has earned me to be casted out by my brothers. Being an apostate made me a fugitive: after Rome, Geneva, England and Germany excommunicated me.
I have written many audacious books to prove to everyone that it is the Earth that revolves around the Sun and not the other way around. With time my religious positions hardened and I was denounced to the Inquisition. I had 8 years of trial for heresy and atheism, in Venice and Rome, but I held my positions. I was condemned to the stake in front of the crowd of Rome but I fear nothing and I do not retract anything, there is nothing to retract and I do not know what I would have to retract.
