about

Against the advice of my parents, too religious to devote me to anything other than volunteering and charity, I engaged in science.
Talented manipulator of X-rays, I got a job at King's College London in 1951. On one of my shots was a double-helix ... this double-helix to which we owe so much ... it was the first DNA photograph. One of my colleagues stole my pictures and allowed researchers to discover the structure of this molecule. They got the Nobel Prize without ever quoting me.
Consequently, I joined another university and my work contributed to the discovery of viruses.Overexposed to radiation, I died of cancer at 37 years old.

Great pioneer of molecular biology, I am Rosalind Franklin.

101010, dix scientifiques, grandioses, opprimés, martyrs, spoliés de leurs découvertes. De grands esprits ayant subi l’injustice, l’oppression morale ou religieuse.

Pour les privilégiés, l'égalité sonne comme une oppression.
